We wrapped up Day 1 of the Fall Teaching Conference just an hour or so ago, during which we discussed the “Fundamentals of Teaching” in the three divisions, heard an inspiring talk from Mike Smith about becoming part of Harvard’s “Community of Teachers,” and witnessed a panel of experienced Gen Ed TFs give thoughts on how to teach across disciplinary boundaries.

Day 2 kicks off tomorrow, and we encourage members of Harvard’s teaching community to drop by for panels such as “Struggling Students: What’s Going On? How Can I Help?” “Cinematic Teaching: Can Harvard’s Teachers Learn from Hollywood?” “Teaching Science and Engineering in Labs,” and “Beyond Text: Teaching With Art and Objects.”
